The prevention

Necessarily make replacement of all колодок on one axis of the car even if deterioration borders were reached by one колодка. If колодки will be repeatedly established, before removal mark them.

1. Remove a brake drum.
2. Being careful and security measures, clear all traces of a brake dust from a brake drum, a brake board and колодок.
3. Measure a thickness of overlays brake колодок in several points. If though one колодка is worn out in any place till the minimum thickness, replace all 4 brake колодки.
4. Note adjusting position of all elements of a back brake. Using flat-nose pliers, remove a plate of a spring of fixing колодки, pressing a plate and turning it on 90 . Remove springs and take clamp pins.
5. Remove one brake колодку from the bottom support колодок and disconnect the bottom returnable spring.
6. Wring out both колодки from the wheel brake cylinder and remove them. Thus do not damage пыльники. Disconnect a cable of a drive of a manual brake from brake колодки. For prevention of drop - out of pistons from the working brake cylinder fix pistons a corresponding elastic band or a wire.
7. Note an arrangement of details of a regulator brake колодок, remove the lever of a drive of a manual brake and disconnect fixing spring of a bolt of a regulator from a lobby (on an arrangement) brake колодки. Disconnect the top returnable spring, separate forward brake колодку and a returnable spring from back brake колодки. Disconnect a spring, крепящую a regulator to back brake колодке (fig. the Arrangement of elements of adjustment brake колодок see).
8. Replace all returnable springs irrespective of their condition.
9. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of a regulator to an adjusting lath and check up their condition. Special attention turn on a carving of a bolt of a regulator and a side of an adjusting wheel. Pay attention that the left and right adjusting laths are not interchangeable. Bolts of a regulator of the right and left wheel also are not interchangeable. The bolt of a regulator of the left wheel has the left carving, and the bolt of a regulator of the right wheel has the right carving.
10. Check up that all details on the end of an adjusting lath are correctly placed, then put a small amount of greasing with a fusion heat on a carving of a bolt of a regulator. Screw an adjusting wheel on a regulator bolt so that between a wheel and a bolt head there was a small backlash. Insert a regulator bolt into an adjusting lath.
11. Establish a returnable spring on back (on an arrangement) brake колодку so that shorter hook of a spring incorporated with колодкой. Establish an adjusting lath by the spring end. Insert an adjusting lath into a groove in back brake колодке.
12. Establish the top returnable spring on back brake колодку. The second end of a spring establish on a lobby brake колодку and, moving, arrange a lobby колодку so that the head of an adjusting bolt has settled down in a flute. After that insert a hook of a fixing spring into a groove on a lobby brake колодке.
13. Raise rubber protective covers of the brake cylinder and check up the working brake cylinder on leaks of a brake liquid.
14. Clear details of a back brake. On contact places колодок with a brake board put lubricant with a fusion heat.
15. Check up that the lever of a manual brake is located opposite to an edge back brake колодки, and remove an elastic band, крепящую pistons in the brake cylinder.
16. Stretch brake колодки and establish their top ends on the piston of the working brake cylinder. Connect a cable of a manual brake to the lever of a manual brake located on back brake колодке. Establish the bottom returnable spring on both brake колодки, establish the bottom part brake колодок on a support колодок.
17. Moving brake колодки, centre them in relation to a brake board. Establish clamp pins колодки, a spring and a plate of fastening of a spring.
18. Using a screw-driver, turn a wheel of an adjusting lath so that to unclench brake колодки to a contact of a brake drum.
19. Establish a brake drum.
20. Make replacement brake колодок on the second back wheel.
21. After replacement brake колодок adjust a backlash between them and a brake drum for what some times press a brake pedal. By pedal pressing at normal work of an adjusting lath the clicks published by an adjusting lath should be audible.
22. Check up and if it is necessary, adjust a manual brake.
23. Check up level of a brake liquid in system.
