3.1.10. A cam-shaft and pushers Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative plug from the accumulator and uncover heads of the block of cylinders.
Models of the engine of 1.6 litres
2. Remove a cam-shaft pulley.
3. Remove the ignition coil.
4. Unscrew the top bolt of fastening of a casing of the thermostat by the left forward end of a head of the block of cylinders.
5. Being careful, lift the receiver oil givings in the top covers of bearings of a cam-shaft. Pay attention to the sealing rings of round section established in each connection of the pipeline.
6. Covers of bearings of a cam-shaft are numbered from 1 to 5, and the cover № 1 is from outside transmissions. If covers are not numbered, number them. Also note position of each cover.
7. In regular intervals and gradually ослабьте nuts of fastening of a cover of bearings of a cam-shaft. As soon as pressure клапанной springs will stop, unscrew nuts completely.
8. Remove covers of bearings.
9. Remove a cam-shaft from a head of the block of cylinders and a sealing ring from a camshaft.
10. Using a rubber sucker, take pushers and place them in the corresponding container so that they could be established on the places after assemblage. If necessary it is possible to remove an adjusting lining from the top part of a rod of the valve and to store it with a corresponding pusher.
Models of engines of 1.8 and 2.0 litres
11. Remove both covers of a head of the block of cylinders.
12. Remove both pulleys from camshafts together with naves, and also a pulley of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
13. Remove the top internal casing of a gear belt.
14. In regular intervals and gradually unscrew twelve bolts of fastening of bearings of cam-shafts to a head of the block of cylinders. Take bolts and remove cases of bearings.
15. As both cam-shafts are identical, it is necessary to note a cam-shaft operating inlet valves, and a cam-shaft operating final valves before their removal.
16. Remove cam-shafts and remove sealing rings from cam-shafts.
17. Using a rubber sucker, take hydraulic pushers and place them in the corresponding container so that they could be established on the places after assemblage.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check up a condition of working surfaces of bearings of a cam-shaft and cams on deterioration presence. In the presence of any deterioration on a cam-shaft it is subject to replacement. Check up a condition of working surfaces of bearings of a cam-shaft in a head of the block of cylinders. If working surfaces of bearings are worn out, it is necessary to replace a head of the block of cylinders.
2. Check up a condition of pushers. If on pushers there is a deterioration from cam-shaft cams, it is necessary to replace a pusher (probably, together with a cam-shaft).

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Models of engines of 1.6 litres
1. Establish adjusting linings in the top part of a core of the valve. At all do not change adjusting linings in places since it will lead to size infringement клапанного a backlash.
2. Grease with engine oil pushers and establish a head of the block of cylinders, and pushers should become on the former places.
3. Grease with engine oil cam-shaft cams, then establish a cam-shaft in a head of the block of cylinders. Temporarily establish a pulley on a cam-shaft and combine adjusting apertures in a pulley with an aperture in a head of the block of cylinders. Check up, that the adjusting core blocked a flywheel pulley.
4. Check up, that covers of bearings have been carefully cleared. Establish covers of bearings, using earlier made marks.
5. In regular intervals and gradually (each time on 1 turn) tighten covers of bearings of a cam-shaft to their contact with a head of the block of cylinders. After that, on a spiral, tighten all nuts demanded effort.
6. Check up junctions of the pipeline of giving of oil to cam-shaft bearings, and also sealing rings of round section with presence of deterioration and if necessary replace. Grease sealing rings of round section with engine oil and, being careful, establish the pipeline.
7. Check up a condition of a sealing ring and if necessary replace. Establish the top bolt of fastening to a casing of the thermostat and tighten its demanded moment.
8. Establish the ignition coil.
9. Establish a new sealing ring of a cam-shaft and a cam-shaft pulley.
10. Check up backlashes of valves.
11. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and connect the negative plug to the accumulator.
Models of engines of 1.8 and 2.0 litres
12. Carefully clear cases of bearings of a cam-shaft.
13. Grease with engine oil hydraulic pushers and establish them on the places. Check up that each pusher freely turns in an aperture.
14. Grease with engine oil bearings and cams of cam-shafts and establish cam-shafts in a head as follows:
      – Models of engines of 1.8 litres: the flute of a final cam-shaft should be in position of 12 hours, and a flute of an inlet cam-shaft – in position of 11 hours;
      – Models of engines of 2.0 litres: the flute of a final cam-shaft should be in position 3 hours, and a flute of an inlet cam-shaft – in position of 11 hours.
15. Check up that directing pins are on the places, i.e. in each corner of a head of the block of cylinders.
16. Grease with silicone greasing of a place under a lining and apertures under fastening bolts.
17. Grease with engine oil bearings of a cam-shaft and establish cases of bearings on cam-shafts. Establish fastening bolts.
18. Consistently and gradually, in a certain order, tighten bolts of fastening of cases of bearings in two stages.
19. Establish the top internal casing of a gear belt.
20. Establish a pulley of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
21. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
22. Establish new sealing rings, naves and pulleys of cam-shafts.
