5.2.4. An accelerator cable

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On engines in volume of 1.9 litres remove a cable of an accelerator from a control lever of the fuel pump of a high pressure (it is specified by an arrow). Take a cover of a cable of an accelerator from the condensing ring established in a flange of the fuel pump. 2. On engines in volume of 2.1 litres take a cable of an accelerator from the lever on the gauge of position of management of the fuel giving, located on the left forward party of a motor compartment. Remove a cover of a cable of an accelerator from a gauge arm. 3. On all models take a cable of an accelerator from скоб fastenings in a motor compartment. 4. In car salon open a cover of an immobilizer and turn on 90 a clamp of a cover of a box with fuses. Disconnect an electric socket from колодки, unscrew screws of fastening and remove the bottom panel from outside the driver. 5. Remove скобу fastenings and disconnect a cable of an accelerator from the top part of a pedal of an accelerator. 6. Take a cover of a cable of an accelerator from a clamp on a suspension bracket of installation of a pedal, then to an accelerator cable adhere a long thin cord. 7. In a motor compartment take from a partition a ring condensing a cable of an accelerator, and take an accelerator cable. Untie from a cable of an accelerator a cord and leave it in a motor compartment. The cord is required for the subsequent tightening of a new cable of an accelerator into place.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Adhere a cord to a new cable of an accelerator and, having pulled for a cable which is in salon of the car, stretch an accelerator cable through a partition. Untie a cord from an accelerator cable, establish a cable cover in a clamp of a suspension bracket of a pedal, and an accelerator cable connect to a pedal. 2. Check up that the accelerator cable is reliably fixed to a pedal then establish the bottom part of the panel. 3. In a motor compartment check up that the cover of a cable of an accelerator is correctly placed in a condensing ring in a partition, then place a cable on all length in скобах fastenings. 4. Pull a flat washer over a cover of a cable and establish in an arm. Connect a cable of an accelerator to the lever.

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a clip of fastening of a cover of a cable of an accelerator. Check up, that the control lever was in the starting position and, moving a cable cover, choose sagging of a cable of an accelerator. 2. In the established position of a cable establish a fastening clip on an external flute of a cover of a cable before a rubber condensing ring and a washer. After clip and cable installation on the places insignificant sagging of a cable of an accelerator should be observed only. While the assistant smoothly presses an accelerator pedal, check up that the control lever completely turns and comes back in a starting position.
