The tool for mechanism blocking timing


On all models there are adjusting apertures in a cam-shaft pulley, a pulley of the fuel pump and a flywheel. Adjusting apertures are used to establish коленвал, a cam-shaft and the fuel pump in the position excluding impact of pistons and valves at installation of a head of the block of cylinders or a gear belt.

When adjusting apertures on pulleys will be combined with apertures in a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders, it is necessary to insert adjusting cores into them (or corresponding bolts) and to fix a cam-shaft, the fuel pump and коленвал from проворачивания. In this case the piston of the cylinder №4 is in the top dead point of a step of compression.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the top casing of a gear belt.
2. Turn коленвал before combination of apertures in a pulley of a cam-shaft and a pulley of the fuel pump (one aperture in the cam-shaft pulley, one or two apertures in a pulley of the fuel pump) with apertures in the engine. Коленвал it is possible to turn for a bolt of fastening of a pulley. For access to a bolt of fastening of a pulley remove a wheel arch from under a wing. If necessary, displace hoses with a cooling liquid from a suspension bracket. Turn коленвал only clockwise if to look at the engine on the right side of the car.
3. Establish a core (it is specified by an arrow) in diameter 8 mm through an aperture in the left ledge of the block of cylinders about a starter. If necessary, cautiously turn коленвал while the core will not enter into an aperture in a flywheel.
4. On engines of 2.1 litres access is limited and for core installation, probably, it is necessary to remove a starter.
5. Insert 8 mm a bolt (it is specified by an arrow) through an aperture in a cam-shaft pulley (at the left – on the engine of 1.9 litres, on the right – on the engine of 2.1 litres).
6. Insert two (are specified by arrows) a bolt (at the left – on the engine of 1.9 litres) or one (on the right – on the engine of 2.1 litres) a bolt through a pulley of the fuel pump of a high pressure and screw up them in the engine.
7. Коленвал, the cam-shaft and the fuel pump are fixed in the position preventing them from rotation.
