11.26. The steering mechanism Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports. Remove forward wheels.
2. Remove a cable and the thermal screen from the top part of the steering mechanism. At presence, release скобу fastenings and disconnect an electric socket from the case of a gear wheel of the steering mechanism.
3. Unscrew nuts of fastening of spherical hinges of steering bent for to a rotary fist and take spherical hinges from rotary fists.
4. A paint or a marker put combination labels on an intermediate shaft and a gear wheel of the steering mechanism. Unscrew tightening a bolt (1) and a nut. At installation it is necessary to use a new nut (2 – an electric socket, 3 – pipes).
5. Using G-shaped clips, press submitting and returnable hoses to the steering amplifier.
6. Unscrew nuts of a submitting and returnable pipe of the amplifier of a steering from the steering mechanism.
7. Release fastening of pipes of the steering mechanism with the amplifier from скоб fastenings and shift them aside from the steering mechanism.
8. Unscrew bolts of fastening of the steering mechanism (are specified by arrows) and take the linings located between the steering mechanism and the bottom frame.
9. Take a gear wheel of the steering mechanism from an intermediate shaft and take the steering mechanism from under the car.

Repair

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check up the steering mechanism on deterioration and damages. Check up that gear рейка moves freely for all length of a course. Check up люфт between a gear wheel of the steering mechanism and gear рейкой. Check up all hydraulic connections on leak.
2. THAT is necessary to make repair of the steering mechanism at station. It is independently possible to make only replacement of protective covers of the steering mechanism, spherical hinges of steering draughts and steering draughts.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the steering mechanism into place, having combined a gear wheel of the steering mechanism with intermediate shaft with the account before the made labels.
2. Insert linings between the bottom frame and the steering mechanism. Insert bolts of fastening of the steering mechanism and tighten their demanded moment.
3. Connect pipes of the amplifier of a steering and tighten connecting nuts the demanded moment. Fix pipes скобами and remove from hoses clips.
4. Establish tightening a bolt of an intermediate shaft and a new nut. Tighten their demanded moment.
5. Establish spherical hinges of steering draught in rotary fists and fix their new nuts.
6. Connect an electric socket and the thermal screen to the steering mechanism. Establish wheels and lower the car.
7. Add a liquid in a tank and remove air from hydraulic system.
8. Check up and, if necessary, adjust corners of installation of wheels.
