11.13. The shock-absorber of a back suspension bracket

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On models a sedan (Saloon) remove a luggage space upholstery for what by means of the lever take the central part of a percussion cap and turn away furnish of a luggage space for access to the top fastening of the shock-absorber (the arrow specifies a nut of the top fastening).
2. On models комби (Estate) open a back door and remove furnish of a luggage space from the demanded party for what unscrew screws and remove a back plate of furnish.
3. Then by means of the lever take the central part of percussion caps of fastening, remove a plastic pocket and displace furnish of a luggage space for access to fastening of the top part of the shock-absorber (the arrow specifies a nut of the top fastening of the back shock-absorber on models Estate).
4. Lift a back part of the car and fix on supports. Remove a corresponding back wheel.
5. Using a jack, lift the bottom lever until the cylindrical spring of a back suspension bracket will not be slightly compressed.
6. In a luggage space unscrew the top nut of fastening of the shock-absorber and remove the top rubber washer.
7. From below the car unscrew the bottom bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber and take from under the car the shock-absorber with rubber elements of installation and an emphasis. Remove from the shock-absorber a dustproof cover and an emphasis.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check up the shock-absorber on tightness and mechanical damages.
2. Moving a shock-absorber rod, check up uniformity of its course.
3. Resistance to moving of a rod of the shock-absorber in both directions should be uniform and smooth. If moving non-uniformly, or on the shock-absorber there are visible damages, it is necessary to replace it.
4. Also it is necessary to check up a condition of rubber pillows.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Grease an installation site of the bottom bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber with means Molykote G Rapide Plus.
2. Establish on the shock-absorber an emphasis and a dustproof cover.
3. Completely take a rod of the shock-absorber and establish the shock-absorber in the car. From a luggage space establish on a shock-absorber rod a rubber pillow and on some turns wrap the top nut of fastening of the shock-absorber.
4. Combine the bottom part of the shock-absorber with an installation site on the bottom lever, establish a bolt and screw on it a new nut, without tightening definitively.
5. Tighten the top nut of fastening of the shock-absorber the demanded moment and establish luggage space furnish.
6. Establish a back wheel and lower the car. Shake the car that elements of a back suspension bracket have risen on the places. After that tighten the demanded moment the bottom bolt of fastening of the back shock-absorber.
