THE GENERAL DATA

BLOCK ECU

Block ECU – the main block of a control system of the engine. It operates system of injection of fuel and systems of fall of toxicity of exhaust gases.

Block ECU the temperature of a cooling liquid, frequency of rotation коленвала receives signals from gauges which supervise changing operational modes of the engine, such, as temperature of arriving air, position of a pedal of an accelerator, etc. These signals are used by block ECU to define optimum quantity of the fuel submitted the fuel pump.

Removal


Before removal of any of elements of fuel system disconnect the negative plug of the accumulator.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover block ECU.
2. Disconnect an electric socket, preliminary having lifted the lock lever in the top part of a socket.
3. Remove a socket from a back part, disconnect a forward part and remove block ECU from pins.
4. Lift block ECU upwards and remove it from a box.
5. Turn a connector of electroconducting of the fuel pump on the top part of a box clockwise.
6. Unhook a fastening ledge, using a screw-driver, then turn a connector counter-clockwise and lift.
7. Unscrew two screws of fastening of the basis of a connector of electroconducting to a box of the block and lift the connector basis.
8. Unscrew internal and external bolts of fastening.
9. Remove a block box.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

THE GAUGE OF TURNS AND POSITION КОЛЕНВАЛА

It is the inductive generator of impulses attached by bolts to картеру of coupling and creating impulses at passage about it of crosspieces between apertures in a flywheel.

At passage of each crosspiece about the gauge one impulse on which block ECU defines frequency of rotation коленвала is generated. One of crosspieces between two apertures is absent, and under the admission of one signal block ECU defines position коленвала.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Track electroconducting from the gauge to a connector of electroconducting and disconnect it from the main plait.
2. Remove a rubber condensing ring, unscrew bolts and take the gauge from картера.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

THE GAUGE OF TEMPERATURE OF THE COOLING LIQUID

The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid is термистр with negative temperature factor, that is at increase in temperature of the gauge its resistance decreases.

THE GAUGE OF TEMPERATURE OF ARRIVING AIR

The gauge of temperature of arriving air is термистр with negative temperature factor, that is at increase in temperature of the gauge its resistance decreases. It also is used to correct quantity of submitted fuel.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Disconnect an electric socket from the gauge and unscrew the gauge from system of inlet pipes in a forward part of the engine.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

THE GAUGE OF POSITION OF THE PEDAL OF THE ACCELERATOR

The information on position of a pedal of an accelerator is transferred in block ECU by this gauge. The accelerator cable is connected to the gauge of position of a pedal which transforms pedal movement to an electric signal. After processing of this signal and using the information received from other gauges, block ECU operates the fuel pump of a high pressure by means of electronics so that the optimum quantity of fuel for reception of desirable dynamics of movement of the car moved.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a cable of an accelerator from the lever on the gauge of position of a pedal of the accelerator located on the left forward party of a motor compartment.
2. Take a cover of a cable of an accelerator from a condensing ring in a gauge suspension bracket.
3. Disconnect an electric socket, unscrew bolts of fastening and remove the gauge with its suspension bracket. If it is necessary to remove the gauge from an installation suspension bracket, note position of the gauge concerning a suspension bracket, then unscrew two screws and remove the gauge.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

THE GAUGE OF MEASUREMENT OF PRESSURE IN THE INLET COLLECTOR

The pressure gauge measures vacuum in an inlet collector and hands over the information to block ECU for calculation of loading of the engine in any position of a pedal of an accelerator.

The gauge can be established in the bottom part of the air filter or in other places in a forward left-hand side of a motor compartment.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a vacuum hose and an electric socket and unscrew two bolts of fastening of the gauge.
2. Take the gauge from its nest.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

THE GAUGE OF LIFTING OF THE NEEDLE OF THE ATOMIZER

The gauge of lifting of a needle of an atomizer – an integral part of one of fuel atomizers which sends a signal to block ECU at atomizer opening.

THE GAUGE OF SPEED OF THE CAR

The gauge of speed of the car consists of the converter included in a drive of a speedometer. ECU uses gauge signals to change quantity of submitted fuel according to speed of movement of the car.

THE BLOCK OF MANAGEMENT OF SYSTEM OF PRELIMINARY HEATING

This relay operated block ECU, connecting to candle block ECU накаливания systems of prestarting heating for a certain time at start of the cold engine.

EGR-КЛАПАН

Return of a part of exhaust gases to an inlet collector copes block ECU in a combination to the electromagnetic valve and the EGR-valve. The vacuum from the vacuum pump goes to the EGR-valve through the electromagnetic valve according to frequency of rotation of the engine, loading and height.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If in system there is a malfunction, check up that all electric sockets are connected and not oxidised. Check up, that the filtering element of the air filter was pure, pressure of a compression in cylinders of the engine within norm and hoses of ventilation of the engine are not damaged.
2. If outwardly everything is all right, and malfunction is present at system, it is necessary to check up fuel system at station Peugeot.
