PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Power supplies to the fan (ам) coolings move through the lock of ignition and the fuse. On petrol engines without the conditioner management of the fan is made by a temperature-sensitive element established in a radiator on the left side. On petrol engines and all diesel engines fans cope with the conditioner gauge "Bitron".
2. The fan should join at excess of working temperature of the engine, i.e. some minutes prior to an input of an arrow of the index of temperature of the engine in red sector or before fire of a lamp of the alarm system of excess of temperature of a cooling liquid. If the fan does not join, remove wires from a temperature-sensitive element, connect them among themselves and include ignition. If the fan after that earns, possibly, the temperature-sensitive element which is subject to replacement has failed.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The temperature-sensitive element is established in a radiator on the left side. Before removal of a temperature-sensitive element the engine and a radiator should be cold.
2. Disconnect the negative plug of the accumulator.
3. Partially merge cooling liquid from cooling system that level of a cooling liquid was below the gauge. It is alternatively possible not to merge a liquid from cooling system, and after вывинчивания the gauge very quickly to establish instead of the gauge заглушку. In this case it is necessary to be careful not to damage a radiator.
4. Remove wires from gauge contacts.
5. Being careful unscrew the gauge from a radiator.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before gauge installation replace ring consolidation.
2. Gauge installation is made in sequence, return to removal. Reliably tighten the gauge and fill up cooling system.
3. Start the engine and warm up to working temperature. At the further rise in temperature check up inclusion of the fan by the gauge.

PETROL MODELS WITH THE CONDITIONER AND ALL DIESEL MODELS

Cooling fans cope gauge "Bitron" which is located in a casing of the thermostat on the left side of a head of the block of cylinders.

Gauge "Bitron" also operates air central air, and check of its working capacity is necessary for making at specialised station Peugeot.

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Temperature gauge "Bitron" is screwed in in a thermostat casing on the petrol engine or in a casing of the fuel filter on diesel engines which fastens bolts on a left-hand side of a head of the block of cylinders. The gauge can be identified on the brown colour of a wire going to the gauge.
2. Removal and installation are similar earlier described for a thermoswitch of the fan of a radiator.

THE GAUGE OF TEMPERATURE OF THE COOLING LIQUID IN THE CONTROL SYSTEM OF FUEL INJECTION

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid in a control system of fuel injection is screwed in in a casing of the thermostat which is fixed by bolts on a left-hand side of a head of the block of cylinders. The gauge can be identified on the green wire going to the gauge.
2. The gauge is термистр. The electronic control control mean (ECU) submits pressure to the gauge and, measuring a current proceeding on it, defines engine temperature. This information is used by block ECU for management of time of opening of an injector (width of an impulse). On some models speed of idling and installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition also are defined by engine temperature.
3. If the gauge fails system ECU enters into a mode of the doubler, i.e. accepts in advance set size which will allow system of injection of fuel to work, though and with smaller efficiency. In this case on a combination of devices the corresponding lamp of the alarm system that means will light up that at the first necessity it is necessary to address on a car repair shop. This gauge can be checked up with use of special diagnostic equipment Peugeot. Do not try to check the gauge, using the equipment not intended for it since it is possible to put out of action block ECU.
