4.5. The electric fan Check

1. Power supplies to the fan (ам) coolings move through the lock of ignition and the fuse. On petrol engines without the conditioner management of the fan is made by a temperature-sensitive element established on the left side in a radiator. On petrol engines and all diesel engines fans cope with the conditioner gauge "Bitron".
2. The fan should join at excess of working temperature of the engine, i.e. some minutes prior to an input of an arrow of the index of temperature of the engine in red sector or before fire of a lamp of the alarm system of excess of temperature of a cooling liquid. If the fan does not join, remove wires from a temperature-sensitive element, connect them among themselves and include ignition. If the fan after that earns, possibly, the temperature-sensitive element which is subject to replacement has failed.
3. In a case if the fan still does not work, check up, whether pressure to a temperature-sensitive element moves. If pressure on a temperature-sensitive element is absent, damage of wires is possible or has fused the fuse. If pressure moves, check up reliability of connection with weight of the second wire of the gauge. If термодачтик and electroconducting in a good condition, means, probably, the fan electric motor is damaged. The electric motor can be checked up pressure giving on it additional wires from the accumulator.


1. Remove a radiator.
2. On models with the conditioner unscrew fastening screws, then remove скобу fastenings, крепящую condenser assemblage to a fan casing. Move condenser assemblage aside so that access to nuts of fastening of the engine of the fan has opened.
3. Remove a radiator lattice.
4. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a casing of the fan to the cowl lock. Disconnect a cable of the lock of a cowl from the lock and remove it. Unscrew fastening nuts (are specified by arrows) and take the engine with the fan from a casing.
5. If it is necessary, unscrew the screw of fastening and remove the fan from an engine shaft.


Installation is made in sequence, return to removal, considering following moments:
      – Before installation check up a condition of a casing of the fan;
      – Check up a condition of electroconducting and its packing in скобах fastenings;
      – Establish a radiator.
