3.3.5. Removal and installation of a head of the block of cylinders THE DIESEL ENGINE OF 2.1 LITRES

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a cam-shaft and pushers.

2. Remove inlet and final collectors.

3. Remove a pulley of the fuel pump of a high pressure.

4. Unscrew bolts and remove an engine mount from a forward part of the engine.

5. Remove the remained electroconducting, hoses and the elements of their support connected with a head of the block of cylinders.

6. Gradually and consistently unscrew bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders in an order, the return shown on fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders. Take bolts together with washers.

7. Separate a head of the block of cylinders from the block of cylinders, using for this purpose two metal cores with the ends bent under 90 and established in an aperture for bolts of fastening of a head.

8. Remove a head of the block of cylinders from the block and remove a lining.

Preparation for installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Clear interfaced surfaces of a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders.

2. Check up a condition of interfaced surfaces of a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders on presence рисок, scratches and other damages. If defects superficial, remove their grinding, detail replacement otherwise is necessary.

3. Pick up a lining of a necessary thickness. Bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders use only the new.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Carefully wipe surfaces of interface of a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders. Check up that two directing pins are in the nests in the block of cylinders.

2. Establish a new lining of a head of the block of cylinders on the block of cylinders.

3. Establish a head of the block of cylinders on the block of cylinders.

4. Grease a carving part and an underside of heads of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders with means Molykote Rapid Plus or any high-quality material.

5. Smoothly establish each bolt in the aperture and screw up his hand.

6. Gradually and in the specified sequence (fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders see) tighten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders the demanded moment.

7. Using a special template, repeatedly tighten bolts on a demanded corner.

8. Other actions on installation are made in sequence, return to removal.

9. After engine installation on the car start the engine and warm up it while the fan of system of cooling will not join at least two times. Switch off the engine and cool it 3,5 hours. Then uncover heads of the block of cylinders, remove residual pressure in cooling system, deleting a cover of a broad tank, and tighten bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders as follows.

10. Gradually and in the sequence shown on fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders, ослабьте on one each bolt of fastening, tighten each bolt the demanded moment and tighten on a demanded corner.
11. Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders and a stopper of a broad tank of system of cooling.
