13.24. A safety pillow

THE GENERAL DATA

Detachment of an electric socket from the block of management of system of a pillow of safety

On the cars equipped with a pillow of safety from outside of the driver, there is a word “AIRBAG” on the central part of a steering wheel. In the presence of a safety pillow from outside the forward passenger on the top part of the panel of devices there is a word “AIRBAG”. The safety system includes a pillow of safety with gas generators, the block of management with the gauge of collision and an alarm system lamp in panels of devices. At each inclusion of ignition the safety system makes self-diagnostics. It is carried out in a current of 6 seconds. The lamp of the alarm system of system of safety on a combination of devices at this time burns.

Before performance of any actions on safety system remove the negative plug from the accumulator and wait at least 2 minutes. Remove the central console and disconnect the main electric socket from the block of management of safety system. After performance of works connect an electric socket to the block of system of safety and establish the central console. Check up that in salon of the car anybody is not present, connect the accumulator and through an open door of the driver include ignition, being outside of the car.

The prevention

The safety pillow should not be exposed to temperature influence above 100 With.

Hit on a pillow of safety of solvents or clearing means is forbidden.

Disconnect contact of a wire of the block of management from a safety pillow at carrying out of electrowelding works on the car.
